Vacancy Summary: Management and Program Analyst (Term Position)
This position is for a Management and Program Analyst within the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), Homeland Security Investigations (HSI).
Role Overview
This is a term position initially set for 1 year and 1 day, with the possibility of extension up to a 4-year limit. The incumbent serves as a senior analyst or advisor to executive management, focusing on mission-related programs, database management for organizational metrics, and providing strategic advice through qualitative and quantitative analysis.

Key Logistics
- Open To: All U.S. Citizens (Direct Hire Authority).
- Hiring Process: Direct Hire Authority is used; standard Veterans Preference and Category Rating procedures do not apply.
- Security Clearance: Requires a successful background investigation for a Secret clearance.
- Conditions: Includes a pre-employment drug test and a potential one-year probationary period.
Qualifications
- GS-12: Requires one year of specialized experience at the GS-11 level in administrative program implementation, resource support, or database/metric management.
- GS-13: Requires one year of specialized experience at the GS-12 level in advising executive management, leading special studies, or negotiating program proposals.
